Newly opened Darna Falafel on Court Street is a very small place. Only three tables and a few chairs along a counter, really. But don't let that fool you. The fare that is prepared in its diminutive kitchen is full of the flavors of the Mediterranean.
Try a Kifta wrap, a Pita burger, a Balady Dijaj or one of the generously stuffed falafel, it's all delicious and reasonably priced, making this a great spot for a quick bite to eat or as a take-out option. (All sandwiches come with a small salad. he creamy dill dressing is great.)

If you stop by, make sure to say hello to Darna's owner, Ali, who grew up right in the neighborhood.

Amidst all the new hamburger joints popping up along Court Street, here is something new: a Falafel Bar.
Darna, according to a note in the window, is "finally coming soon" to 200 Court Street, the smallish space occupied till recently by Serene Rose, a clothing boutique.
In advance of its opening, an ode to the falafel has been taped to the store window.
"Oh, my love, where have you been for the people of Cobble Hill and Carroll Gardens? You have always been so good to the people that hold you..."

What do you think, readers? Cute or annoyingly hokey for a falafel/sandwich/desert place?
