For all those working from home during the day, there are many places here in Carroll Gardens where one can grab a cup of coffee, open one's laptop and connect to free wi-fi during the day
However, there is a new option in the neighborhood.
Back in April, Abilene, the neighborhood bar located at 442 Court Street (corner of 3rd Place) opened its door at noon instead of 5 Pm for drinks and lunch.
Even better, Abilene now provides free internet service to its customers. Just recently, I popped in to say hi to my friend Bruce, who worked the bar that afternoon. The atmosphere was super relaxed and some patrons were working away on their laptops while nursing a drink.
