From Brooklyn: The Teen Age Hair Trainer

Oh, that pesky young unruly hair! It obviously has plagued teens for decades. But long ago, G.D'Avanzo of NY& Brooklyn Barbers And Beauty Supply had a solution: The Teen Age Hair Trainer. It trained that unruly hair to stay in place. Without alcohol or grease. Is there anyone out there who remembers this product?

Before there were Tums, there were Jests, a "grand little fixer for stomach discomfort." This fix for stomach acid was made by Jests, Inc. right here in Brooklyn. One roll only cost 10 cents. There is mention of a 1939 copyright in the first ad. Does anyone remember this product?
I love the graphics.

Is it a phone,
a lamp
or
a clock?
Don't know,
but it's made in Brooklyn

Now, dear reader, I hope that you find this kitschy item as wonderful as I do. In a sickly shade of green, speckled in brown, roman numerals and gold accent, it was made by the Trea- Boye Corporation in Brooklyn New York.

And can you imagine, I found a second one. And it is infinitely
more stylish than the first.
Have you ever seen, ( or perhaps owned) one of them ?
Do tell, do tell!

The Imperial Crayon Company, the Globe Crayon Company and the Art Crayon Company Just three of the Brooklyn companies that made art supplies. Crayons, chalk and water colors, too. Aren't the graphics just too wonderful ?

So dear readers, did any of you own one of these sets?
