I present: The Parts And Labor " Mobile" Gallery

A comment left on my post regarding the mystery see-through truck I spotted in Greenpoint last week-end stated simply:

"Go to the website listed on the door of the truck and all will be revealed."

So I enlarged the picture, which I guess I should have done all along, and voilà"

The Parts and Labor Gallery

Turns out it is a "mobile art gallery in an eighteen-foot commercial box truck. It was created in 2007 to bring art to public locations all around the country. To read more about this cool idea, click here.
Parts and Labor Gallery's web site also has a very, very cool video of how the vehicle was changed from a regular looking truck to, well, a sensational one.
The video is sort of like an episode of"Pimp My Ride" except more artsy!

Have A Merry Little Brooklyn Christmas, Ingrassia Family

So here is the scenario:
Someone named Vognniere posts an old family Christmas movie on YouTube and a family reunion of sorts seems to have taken place.
The clip is entitled:

The Ingrassia Family, Having Christmas Eve in a basement in Brooklyn, NY, circa 1939 or 1940"
What is truly funny are the comments underneath the clip. It indicates some kind of Ingrassia family reunion taking place right on the YouTube site. But what is even funnier is that nobody seems to know Jennifer, a.k.a. Viognniere, who posted the clip in the first place, or knows how she got a hold of the clip in the first place. Might she be an Ingrassia, too?

The folks at intotheboxtv contacted me yesterday to share this great video about true love and real estate in Carroll Gardens. The video is called "Love In The Gardens Of Carroll." It tells the very romantic tale of how Chris Wert from Indiana met Lydia Benova of Slovakia. They fell in love, got married and made a home together. And guess where they chose to live? Carroll Gardens of course. But this would not be a true New York City love story if it did not include elements of the city's ever changing real estate market.
