Mocha Bagels at 202 Smith Street on the corner of Baltic Street, opened its doors on Saturday, and by Sunday, the place was doing a brisk business. No wonder. The delicious smell of freshly baked bagels was wafting out onto the sidewalk, and passers-by were drawn right in.
When I stopped by, a new batch of hand-rolled goodness was just coming out of the oven in the back.
Mocha Bagels offers a complete deli counter, muffins and cake, and a huge beverage selection. Of course, as per its name, the store offers a complete array of caffeinated beverages.
The staff is super friendly and obviously eager to make this business a success. The young owner explained to me that he intends to add a few tables to the space so that people can eat in.
Give this place a try. The multi-grain Everything bagel is incredible. But frankly, they all looked good.

Since October, the storefront at 202 Smith Street in Boerum Hill has been surrounded by a construction fence, but yesterday, workers were finally removing it to reveal Smith Street's newest bagel shop, Mocha Bagels . From the looks of it, the place is ready for its grand opening fairly soon.
Prior to this, 202 Smith Street was home to the A & H Tobacco and Candy Store.

Since that end of Smith Street doesn't have a bagel store yet, it probably will do well. What do you think?
