"Lobstah Feast Friday ( And Saturday)" Coming Back To Rocky Sullivan's In Red Hook

What could be better than the return of "Lobstah Feast Fridays" at Rocky Sullivan's Tap Room in Red Hook? Well, adding Saturdays would do it, no?

Susan and Ralph, the folks behind Red Hook Lobster Pound, are re-introducing their popular week-end lobster dinners, and if you missed it last year, you will just have to make sure to get down there.

Lobstah Feast Friday and Saturdays are starting with a bang. Join us every Friday and Saturday evening at Rocky Sullivan's in Red Hook, corner of Dwight and Van Dyke Street. Lobsters are served between 6 and 9 pm on Friday and 4 to 8 pm on Saturday.

Our crew boils up the freshest lobster in NYC in the courtyard and you can enjoy the feast on the incomparable roof deck or inside, rain or shine. Other local edibles will be featured in upcoming weeks.
$25.00 * gets you a 1 ½ lb lobster, two sides and a Whoopie Pie.

If lobster is not your fare, Rocky Sullivan's will be serving its wood fired pizzas, along with libations including the extraordinary Six Points ales.

Come join the lobster revolution and support the Maine lobster industry. This event is family friendly.

Brooklyn Women's Rugby To Host Bingo Night At Rocky Sullivan's In Red Hook

I always thought that is was a hoot that my niece Julia played on a girls' rugby team back in college. You see, she is rather petite. But somehow, it seemed to be the perfect sport to match her personality: quick, strategic, fearless, with a healthy dose of aggressiveness.
I never got to see her play, but have seen photos of her in action on the field. Impressive...

So, when I heard from Mari Long of the Brooklyn Women's Rugby Football Club, my interest was immediately peaked.
The Club is organizing its first ever Bingo Night Extravaganza down at Rocky Sullivan's in Red Hook.

The event is advertised as "a debaucherous night of boozing, belching, beautiful women."

The event will take place on Saturday, January 23 starting at 7:30.

The cost is $10 for 2 cards and $2 for each additional card. All profits go to benefit Brooklyn Women’s Rugby and any Brooklynite who wishes to join the team. All are welcome!

We know that the more people show up the more fun this will be. This is a chance to get together, grab a beer, grab a bite and maybe WIN GREAT PRIZES.

"Lobstah Feast Fridays" Great Fun In Red Hook

In case you missed it: Susan and Ralph, the great folks at the Red Hook Lobster Pound came up with a wonderful way to start the week-end from now till the end of the year: "Lobstah Feast Friday" at Rocky Sullivan's Tap Room , at the corner of Dwight and Van Dyke Street.

The first one was this last Friday and I made sure to get down to Red Hook for one of the best and freshest lobster in the entire city. The 1 ½ lb lobster was served with farm fresh corn, coleslaw or potato salad. (I had the potato salad, which was great.)

If lobster isn't your thing, try the Jonah Crab claws. I split an order with my husband and son as an appetizer. Super! I am glad that I came early to snag a table. The place filled up rather quickly.

So,if you intend to go next Friday, and I hope you do, don't get there too late. If you are coming with a group of 6 or more, you can send Susan and Ralph an email at the address on the poster above, so that they can bring enough lobster.
