Wish I could take credit for these shots, but my better half noticed the unusual shadows and drifts in our snowy backyard just as the sun was setting yesterday afternoon.

I am just wondering. My block has not seen one plow since the beginning of the snowstorm. And it still is not plowed this morning.

Have you fared better or has your block been neglected as well? Would love to know.

****UPDATE****
One of my readers just sent me the link to the New York City web site on which you can make a complaint about snowy roadways. Give it a try if you are frustrated at the situation. But then again, the 311 system may be even more frustrating.

Snow or Ice on Roadway Report

The City has launched a winter snow storm operation to remove snow or ice from highways, roadways and streets. Because the City is engaged in a winter storm operation, it cannot respond to individual plowing or spreading requests. Your report of a snowy or icy roadway will be collected and used to provide an overview of the storm situation.

Report a snowy or icy roadway.

I know that the F train service has still not quite been restored to normal, but obviously, people have been going up and down the steep staircase leading into the station at Carroll Street. As of 5 Pm tonight, the stairs were still totally covered in snow. Obviously, the MTA is in no hurry to shovel them. Let's hope that by tomorrow's commute, the employees will have gotten to it.
Just saying...

In the snow, the local tanning salon on Smith Street looked strangely appealing

I did not get far on my walk around the neighborhood, but saw al least 3 stuck snow plows around the neighborhood. They had to be pulled out by a Sanitation Department Truck, like the one in the video that was stuck at the corner of Sackett and Smith Street.

Just grabbed my camera and walked around the neighborhood for a few blocks. Folks, its cold and miserable out there, even with the sun shining. But still loads of fun.

Sometimes, it's good to have a couple of guys living in the same house....
On a morning like this, I just supply the hot beverages.
