Some Brooklyn events are just better than others. This one has all the right ingredients for a great time. It has it all. Great beer, good food, wonderful venue and a good cause. It doesn't get better than this. Read on:

Beer for Beasts
Saturday, March 26, 2011
The Bell House 149 7th Street, Gowanus
Brooklyn, NY
All proceeds will go to The Humane Society of New York City

BeerAdvocate and Sixpoint are joining forces to host a phenomenal cultural event showcasing creative beers, food, and people, all in the name of compassion toward animals.
And to help kick off this annual event in raucous style will be live entertainment from JerseyFresh Burlesque and other local artists, plus beer-friendly food pairings from Calexico, Mile End, Pizza Moto, Prime Meats, and Brooklyn Soda Works.

Making the event even more extraordinary, Sixpoint will present at least 16 brand new beers, all brewed exclusively for Beer for Beasts. Many of these beers will be collaborative brews, made with other members of the community at Sixpoint's facility. The beers at Beer for Beasts will be the cumulative effort of months of collaboration, mentorship, and "Mad Scientist" innovation, with each member of the Sixpoint staff proudly representing a brew of their own. "Our goal is to showcase a community overflowing with talent, and celebrate their ingenuity and genuine good spirit with our friends by fostering a really positive experience," said Shane Welch, Sixpoint Brewery President.

Beer for Beasts tickets will be $60 (all inclusive) and available via Brown Paper Tickets. Ticket price includes access to one session (1-5pm or 6-10pm), all beer tastings, food, and entertainment. All attendees must be 21+ with a valid ID. Tickets are limited.
