Huge (Plush) Rat Startles Pedestrians On Smith Street

At the corner of Smith and President Street

Perhaps it was someone's idea of a joke.  Maybe, it was meant as a comment about the overflown public garbage cans on Smith Street.  Or simply a randomly discarded toy.

No matter why it was there.  This rather large plushy rodent startled quite a few passersby.
Ah, life in the city!
