Juice Haven Providing A Health Boost In Gowanus

Perhaps, healthy living doesn't spring to mind when thinking about Gowanus, but for more than a year now,  Juice Haven on Third Avenue at the corner of Union Street has been offering organic juices and  smoothies to boost anyone's immune system.
Using only fresh organic fruit and vegetables, Juice Haven serves up concoction like "Internal Bliss", "Life", "Lean and Green," or "Hangover Bye Bye" that offer a blast of vitamins to counteract some the more impulsive eating choices we all make.
Madeline Maldonado, Juice Haven's owner, got the idea for the store after she was able to treat her Helicobacter pylori infection by juicing.  Now she wants to help others get healthier.
