Who do you want to see represent Brooklyn in the Ultimate Battle Of The Boroughs? 
Proving once again that our borough seems to have a never ending supply of talent, thirteen Brooklyn musicians and bands competed last Friday for the honor of being able to represent Brooklyn in NPR's third annual Battle Of The Boroughs, a Citywide Competition to Discover NYC’s Best Emerging Talent.
The event, which took place at the Green Space on Charlton Street in Manhattan, kicked off this year's competition. was emceed by award-winning WQXR host Terrance McKnight and judged by Leital Molad, a producer for WNYC’s Studio 360 with Kurt Andersen, and Hsi-Chang Lin, an associate producer for WNYC’s The Takeaway.
It was an amazing evening filled with rock, jazz, opera, folk, Latin soul and raggae, which perfectly reflecting Brooklyn's many cultures. At the end, the five acts with the most votes from the audience advanced to a second round.
The Brooklyn Battle finalist will compete against the Manhattan, Bronx, Staten Island and Queens Borough Battle winners in the Ultimate Battle in June. Its all great fun.
You can view the performance of the top five groups from the Brooklyn Battle here and cast your vote until Sunday, February 19th. The winner will be announced on Tuesday, February 21st.
