Just Another Steel Skeleton In Our Neighborhood
I have been checking on the construction at 85 Third Street off and on for the last year and a half, mostly because I was rather amazed that a permit issued for " a proposed two additional floors on the existing building" could mean the total demolition of the existing building.
Back in the fall of 2008, the sweet little brick house at number 85 was completely taken down, Soon after, a new structure started to rise in its place. The construction site was briefly slapped with a stop work order back in November 08, but that has been lifted months ago.
However, construction has now halted completely, like at so many other sites around our neighborhood.
The building permits were issued to an Eric Hu of BTW Pro, Inc. Anyone know what the deal is?
