Future Gowanus Whole Foods Site?

Last week, F.R.O.G.G. received written notice from NYS Department of Environmental Conservation's Wetlands division that the public comment period for the Gowanus Whole Foods is underway.
Unfortunately, the public was only notified on February 21st, though the period had started on February 9th and would end on March 6th. This certainly did not give FROGG or the community enough time to meet and formulate their comments. They immediately tried to have the process extended.
I am happy to report that FROGG succeeded. Now lets hope the group and the community can get their hands on the actual documentation for the application. So far, they have not succeeded in getting a hard copy. Below is the email from FROGG.

FROGG requested an extension of time because DEC's notice of complete application for Whole Foods Market was mailed late. This request was granted by DEC. The new response date is March 20, 2009. Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to:John F Cryan,
NYSDEC,
47-40 21st St.,
Long Island City,

(Phone: 718 482-4997)
Documentation for this application has not been made available to date to this community. FROGG suggests that you call John Cryan, requesting a copy of this application be sent to a local repository, such as the Carroll Gardens Library, or CB6.
