Brooklyn Indie Market On Smith Not Returning In The Spring

PMFA Reader Christopher emailed me a few days ago to ask me if I had any information on the 'Brooklyn Indie Market space at Union and Smith Streets. Chris and his girlfriend are moving to Carroll Gardens next months. They are both artists and were looking forward to maybe selling some of their work there.

It would appear that the small market will not be back as Chris found out from the venue's web site, Brooklyn Indie Market. An update on the site states: "After four sumptuous years at Smith and Union Street in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn Indie Market will not reopen at this location but has evolved into an event/wedding coordination and styling company, Clementine Events."

Meanwhile, a 'for rent' sign has been hung from the chain-link fence. Maybe someone will take over in time for spring. Lets only hope that whoever takes over the space will take down the (by now) rather sad looking tent.
