Friends Of Carroll Park, the non-profit organization dedicated to improving the park for everyone, is proud to be hosting a food drive for City Harvest for a third time this winter season. The group will have volunteers stationed at the Robert Acito Park House both on Saturday, January 7th and Sunday January 8th, from 10 to 4 PM. So, on your next shopping trip, please pick up an item or two to share with hungry neighbors this winter and drop off your contribution at the park this week-end.
The items most needed are non-perishable goods such as :
- canned fruit - canned vegetables
- peanut butter (plastic jars)
- macaroni and cheese (packaged)
- hot and cold cereal (packaged, family-sized)
(Remember that City Harvest cannot accept glass containers or dented cans.)

Please contact the group via email, Facebook, or Twitter if you would like to volunteer for a shift in their effort to fight hunger throughout New York City!
Let's make this collection even more successful than the previous two.
