The Cookie Kids, an incredible group started by Georgia Fumusa and her friends, of 4th Graders from PS 58, have been fundraising for various causes for a few months now. It all started when they organized a bake sale for their school. This first fundraiser was such a success that they were encouraged to keep going, raising funds for the American Red Cross and Pediatric Cancer. In the last two weeks, they have been raising funds for those who have been displaced and are in need after Hurricane Sandy.
This Saturday, you will find them selling their baked goods at the Transit Garden to help the families of PS15 in Red Hook.
Make sure to stop by and encourage these great kids. And if you miss the on Saturday, check on their web site http://58bakes.blogspot.com for their upcoming events.
