The noise coming from 340 Court Street was frightful for the last couple of days. One could hear it from blocks away. The demolition of the old Longshoreman's building has resumed after a brief Stop-Work-Order imposed by the D.o.B.
Yesterday, the roof was being torn down.

So far, the Clarett Group has not been very neighborly. Their site has amassed quite a few complaints and violations. The recent stop-work-order was issued due to insufficient safety netting. Now, one would suppose that a big outfit like the Clarett Group would insure that such basic measures are put into place before any demolition is done.

Tomorrow evening at 7 PM, Clarett is coming to meet the Carroll Gardens community to present their plans for the site. The Union-Sackett Group has been posting fliers all over the neighborhood to inform local residents of the meeting. It is bound to be well attended as all eyes have been on 340 Court.
