Not far from our house, there is a field dotted with red poppies. I walked past it yesterday. Their beauty is so ephemeral that by this afternoon, many had withered.
I am hoping that I will find some more on my walks through the countryside.
Last year, I spread their seed all over our garden, hoping that the poppies will make it their home.
No such luck. I could not find even one.
