Oh, how I wish the picture could truly convey to you how amazingly high these foresters were on Friday while trimming the beautiful old elm trees in Carroll Park. It was truly a spectacle!
How fun to watch!
My friend Sara Weber, fellow member of the Committee To Improve Carroll Park, has been very instrumental in getting the trees this much needed trim. Below is her email to the Parks Department:
Thank You! Thank you! Thank You!Lawrence Schultz and Mesa Santos have been doing a fabulous job pruning the trees in the Park. They are top-notch foresters--I couldn't ask for better. They did a very thoughtful, professional and aesthetically pleasing job on the entire Park. Matt Grayleg and Jeff Potts stopped by this afternoon and helped them as well. Many people enjoyed watching their spectacular feats of climbing, and thrilled as the dead and unsightly branches came slamming down to earth from on high. It was a pleasure to see stately trees come out from the grizzled mess they have been these many years. They are now dignified elder statesmen, rather than disheveled old geezers. Carroll Park looks a thousand times better. We are very grateful!
