I found this email when I got back yesterday. I thought that it could interest some of you artists out there.
I know studio space is pretty difficult to come across.
The note read: " I wish the space cost less, but it is still below market in the area...the new"Gold Coast" of Gowanus"

Just on the odd chance that any of you writer folks know of a good painter or visual arts professional in need of a very good space please let me know. This has been my painting studio for 10 years so I hate to give it up, but it would be easier if it went to the right person.
Could also be used as a professional studio, web designer, architect etc...

Details below,

$775 - large window with Southern exposure and great light.
Private space measures 12 X 25 with tall 10 foot ceilings; Also 400 square feet of additional shared common space, exhibition space, and bathroom with large "slop" sink for artists..

Ideally located at Douglass Street and 3rd Avenue in Gowanus
arts Building, it is between Park Slope's 5th Avenue, Cobble Hill's Smith
Street and all the Atlantic Avenue subway and LIRR trains.

Closest subway stop is Union Street 3 blocks away.

Wireless DSL available.

Very secure building, 24 hour access with management company on call 24/7.

This is a commercial building, absolutely no living, and unfortunately no musicians in this particular space.

Contact regmcfadden@earthlink.net to see the space, available 2.1.08

Thank you,

R
