****IMPORTANT REMINDER****
True to its word, the E.P.A. is keeping the Carroll Gardens/ Gowanus Canal communities informed and involved and informed about their work on the Gowanus Canal.
Back in December, Walter Mugdan, EPA Region 2 director and Christos Tsiamis, Remedial Project Manager with their entire team gave a presentation on the science and the field work which will or has already been undertaken.
The next public meeting will be held on January 21st, and will be an opportunity to hear about the many E.P.A. tools available to help the community better understand and become involved in the cleanup process for this polluted site and to navigate through the Superfund decision-making process. Topics covered will include the formation of the Community Advisory Group (CAG), the Technical Assistance Grant (TAG) and the Technical Assistance Services (TASC) for communities
This is a very important meeting and everyone should attend.
